About this browser version

Enter a dark science-fiction horror FPS with close-quarters encounters and atmospheric exploration. The D3Wasm browser demonstration uses Doom 3 Demo content, rather than the full commercial campaign.

Game files
The developer-hosted demonstration loads Doom 3 Demo data. It does not include the full commercial game.
Device guidance
Desktop keyboard required. Developer documentation says mobile has no touch controls and is not practically playable. Current desktop gameplay remains untested.
Controls
Developer documentation lists WASD as the default configuration, Home for the menu/skip and Insert as an alternative console key. These bindings have not been gameplay-tested here.
Multiplayer
Developer says multiplayer is unavailable in the hosted Doom 3 Demo.

How to get started

  1. Open the original D3Wasm demonstration in a desktop browser.
  2. Allow the demo data to finish loading before starting a new game.
  3. Read the page’s Help section and check keyboard bindings; this port uses Home in place of the usual Escape menu key.

What to prepare

The developer’s older technical guide estimates about 400 MB cached demo data and 850 MB RAM. Use desktop keyboard/mouse; its mobile build lacks touch controls. Current download size and performance have not been measured.
